This is the TALL or "square" version of the medium classic double flap - long discontinued and has not been available in boutiques for more than 30 years. Its distinguishing characteristics compared to the regular medium is the taller height (2.5 inches) and the extra zipper pocket in the interior.
With a double flap, or another flap on the interior, this bag has an extra flat pocket underneath the main compartment, an extra hidden pocket behind the interior flap.
The medium size is 10 inches wide and is one of the original classic sizes of this flap. Interior features two open side pockets.
